MedKoo由陈庆琪博士于2009年创立，陈庆琪博士在北京大学获得合成/药物化学博士学位，并在约翰尼斯-开普勒大学林茨分校(与亨氏·福尔克博士)、内华达大学雷诺分校(与大卫·莱特纳博士)和英属哥伦比亚大学(与大卫·海豚博士)接受博士后培训。陈博士现任MedKoo公司的总裁兼CEO。在加入MedKoo之前，陈博士是中山大学药学院(中国广州中山大学)的著名教授和中国科学院“百人计划”的教授。陈冯富珍还在美国的几家制药公司担任高级职位，为FDA批准的几种药物的研发做出了贡献。陈博士对小分子抗癌药物的发现有着浓厚的兴趣，发表论文100余篇，提交专利申请20件，授权或共同授权8本书，包括《抗癌小分子库》;“癌症新药开发”;“抗癌药物物质、药物产品及其合成路线的快速指南”。(所有的书都是用中文写的，由北京科学出版社出版)。
