If you need to access the PAF system from off-campus, you will need to use VPN. To accommodate the increased demand on VPN services as more people are working remotely, OIT has added a new VPN option, GoVPN. Please install and use GoVPN to access the PAF system from off-campus locations.

WMU is using 3D printers to produce face shields for health care workers who desperately need them for the fight against COVID-19. Several University departments are collaborating on this effort.

A team of faculty members in the Gwen Frostic School of Art is designing aerosol boxes, which could reduce the risk of doctors contracting COVID-19 while intubating patients.

Various colleges and units on the WMU campus are collecting personal protection equipment such as gloves, masks, disposable gowns, face shields, respirators and ethanol or isopropyl alcohol for Sindecuse Health Center and local health professionals.

The Office of Research and Innovation will host a town hall meeting at 12:30 pm on Friday, May 8. There will be updates including what other universities are looking at as research and creative scholarship eventually return from hibernation, as well as a chance to ask questions by chat.

WMU remains committed to launching the Named Professorship Program, however due to the significant distractions within our WMU community, we are going to delay announcing the inaugural recipients until fall of 2020.

Dr. Stephen Magura is assuming the role of research director - behavioral health at The Evaluation Center.  Dr. Lori Wingate will assume the role of executive director as of December 16, 2019.
