| Scientific Background: | NUB1 (NEDD8 Ultimate Buster-1) is a negative regulator of the NEDD8 conjugation system and recruits NEDD8 and its conjugates to the proteasome for degradation. It is also an interferon-inducible protein predominately localized in the nucleus. NUB1 is a strong down-regulator of NEDD8 expression and appears to play a critical role in regulating biological events, including cell growth. |
