This antigen was designed specifically for IgM assays. The culture and preparation of tachyzoites is similar to EL-18-07, but the tachyzoites are disrupted and specifically purified to enrich for the membrane fraction. The resulting preparation is highly specific for toxoplasma p30.
Vero cells are infected with Toxoplasma and the infection is allowed to proceed. Cells are harvested and disrupted to harvest tachyzoites, which are washed and the concentration adjusted. Tachyzoities are then disrupted and purified using a method designed to enrich membrane fractions, including the apical complex which is thought to be associated with active motility during parasite invasion and is reactive with IgM antibodies. The material is inactivated and standardized based on the ELISA results compared to a reference antigen. This antigen preparation contains a high concentration of disrupted tachyzoites in phosphate buffered saline.

Inactivation & Safety — Each lot of Toxoplasma antigen inactivated using detergent treatment and this inactivation verified using a sensitive tissue culture based infectivity assay.
Applications — IgM immunoassays where a specific membrane fraction of toxoplasma is desired to reduce background.
Each antigen lot is tested for potency using ELISA, and compared to a reference antigen. This ensures the amount of viral protein in each batch is consistent. 若已进入细胞内。则先由巨噬细胞吞噬降解。并形成抗原-MHC复合体传送到表面。被辅助性T淋巴细胞识别和效应T淋巴细胞识别后。效应T淋巴细胞被激活。分解靶细胞。然后再由效应B细胞分泌的抗体进一步消灭病毒。
