Overview:
Post-translational modification of proteins and peptides is a robust way to regulate function of existing proteins or peptides.Acetylation on lysine residues is one example of post-translational modification and is performed by a variety of acetyl transferases in the cell. Histone acetyl-transferases (HATs) are universal regulators of eukaryotic transcriptional activity and emerging therapeutic targets for human diseases (1). The Acetylated Lysine Antibody conjugated to HRP detects acetylation on lysine residues of proteins and peptides.
