The indicating and framed FTA Card (EasiCollect Plus Card) changes color from pink to white upon sample addition.

• FTA technology

FTA chemistry lyses cells on contact, denatures proteins, and protects DNA from degradation. DNA remains tightly bound to the FTA Card while proteins and inhibitors are washed away.

• Flexible processing

Once dried, the FTA Card can be removed from the EasiCollect Plus device and punched by using, for example:

QIAGEN’s UniCore Punches for manual processing;

BSD600 Ascent Punch Instrument (Cat No./ID: WB120036) for semi automated processing;

Enables long-term archiving of DNA reference samples at room temperature with over 20 years of blood and 12 years of buccal real-time data support. The slim design of the card enables high-capacity storage.

EasiCollect Buccal Collection Kits include established FTA technology items for sample collection in the field to increase efficiency and productivity in the forensic laboratory. A downloadable demographics form can be edited to include information about the collection agency. The kit is manufactured to ISO9001:2008 standards to ensure quality. The EasiCollect Buccal Collection Kit contains an EasiCollect device, peelable bar codes, gloves, a Multi-Barrier Pouch, a mailing envelope, tamper-proof tape for the mailing envelope, desiccant and a clear outer bag labeled with code number and expiration date.

QIAcard FTA Blood Collection Kit

The standardized QIAcard FTA Blood Collection Kit is a convenient, cost-effective option for DNA reference sample collection, in the field or forensic lab. Each QIAcard FTA Blood Collection Kii is fully equipped with the necessary components for sample collection, preservation and DNA analysis using a non-indicating FTA micro card.

The QIAcard FTA Blood Collection Kit contains a QIAcard FTA Micro, an alcohol wipe, a sterile lancet, adhesive bandage, removable bar codes, gloves, a multi-barrier pouch, a mailing envelope, tamper-proof tape for the mailing envelope, desiccant and a clear outer bag labeled with code number and expiration date.
