| Description | The Biosensis rat neurotrophin 3 (NT-3) ELISA Kit is based on standard sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. A monoclonal antibody specific for rat NT-3 has been pre-coated onto 96-well plates. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, and then a biotinylated detection polyclonal antibody specific for mouse NT-3 is added subsequently followed by washing with PBS or TBS buffer. Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase Complex is added and unbound conjugates washed away again with PBS or TBS buffer. HRP substrate TMB was used to visualize HRP driven enzymatic reaction. TMB is catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that is changed into yellow by the addition of an acid stop solution. The intensity of this colored product is directly proportional to the concentration of NT-3 present in the samples. The purpose of this kit is the in-vitro quantitative determination of mouse NT-3 in cell culture supernatants, and serum samples only when used as directed. This kit has been configured for research use only and is not to be used in diagnostic or clinical procedures. |
