DESCRIPTIONRecombinant Human BDNF produced in
E. coli is a homodimer, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 2 x 119 amino acids with a molecular mass of 26,984 daltons. This product has full biological activity.

Purity: Greater than 96% by RP-HPLC, anion-exchange chromatography; reducing and non-reducing SDS-PAGE, silver stain.

Biological Activity: Fully biologically active compared to reference standards. ED50 in rat basal forebrain primary septal culture is 50ng/ml.
Endotoxin: <0.1 ng/ug
Protein Content: Determined spectrophotometrically at 280nm (1.6 ext. coeff), and by RP-HPLC analysis against a calibrated standard.
SOLUBILITYReconstitute the lyophilized product in sterile water not less than 100 ug/ml. Product was dialyzed against 20mM sodium citrate pH 5 prior to lyophilization.
STORAGE AND STABILITYLyophilized product is stable at room temperature for 3 weeks. Store lyophilized product desiccated at -20°C. Upon reconstitution, store at 4°C for 2-7 days or aliquot and store at -20°C. For long-term storage add either HSA or BSA to 0.1%. Avoid repeated freeze- thaw cycles.
