Description
Angiogenin is a small protein that exhibits pro-angiogenic activity. Angiogenin stimulates development of new blood vessels and cleaves RNA similarly to RNase enzymes. Angiogenin binds actin on endothelial cells, increasing protease production and degrading basement membrane connective tissues to allow cell migration and invasion.
