Description
CFM is a sterile, uniquely formulated cell freezing medium. It is a cost effective alternative to making your
own cryopreservation medium and allows you to focus on your post-preservation studies. CFM consists of 10% fetal bovine serum, 10% DMSO and 10 mM HEPES in modified
MCDB 131 medium. This product has a pH of 7.2 at room temperature. CFM has been shown to significantly
improve cell viability and function following cryopreservation in comparison to traditional
DMEM + serum + DMSO approaches.
Product Use
CFM is used to cryopreserve most mammalian cells. It is for research use only. Not for use in animals,
humans, or diagnostic procedures.
Storage
Store the CFM at -20°C. Once thawed, the product may be stored at 4°C for up to one month.
