Norgen"sPlasma/SerumCirculatingNucleicAcidPurificationMiniKitprovidesafast,reliableandsimpleprocedureforisolatingcirculatingnucleicacids(mRNA,miRNA,exosomalRNA,viralRNA,DNAandviralDNA)fromvariousamountsofplasma/serumrangingfrom0.25mLto2mL.
PurificationisbasedontheuseofNorgen’sproprietaryresinastheseparationmatrix.ThekitisabletoisolateallsizesofcirculatingRNA,includingmicroRNA,aswellasallsizesofexosomalRNAandcirculatingDNA.Norgen’sPlasma/SerumCirculatingNucleicAcidPurificationMiniKitprovidesanadvantageoverotheravailablekitsinthatitdoesnotrequireextensiontubesforthepurificationoffree-circulatingNAfromlargesamplevolumes.Free-circulatingNAcanbeisolatedfromeitherfreshorfrozensamplesusingthiskit,andthekitallowsfortheconcentrationofNAthatispresentinlowconcentrations(1-100ng/mLinhumanplasma).Typicalyieldsoffree-circulatingNAwillvarydependingontheinputsample,astheamountofNApresentinplasmaandserumwilldependuponthehealthstatusoftheindividualandthelevelofnucleasespresentintheblood.ThiskitissuitableforthepurificationofnucleicacidsfromserumorplasmapreparedfrombloodcollectedoneitherEDTAorcitrate.PlasmasamplespreparedfrombloodcollectedonheparinshouldnotbeusedasheparincansignificantlyinterferewithmanydownstreamapplicationssuchasRT-PCR.
