Background:
Stat5b is a transcription factor that is activated in response to extra-cellular stimuli including IL-2, IL-4, MCSF and a variety of growth factors. In the process, receptor associated kinases phosphorylate Stat5b. Stat5b, then, forms dimers and translocates to nucleus. Inside nucleus, Stat5b binds to the promoter region on various genes to regulate biological processes such as apoptosis, T cell receptor signalling, and adult mammary gland development. Fusion of Stat5b to retinoic acid receptor-alpha (RARα) gene was identified in a small subgroup of acute promyelocytic leukemia patients.
Application:
In indirect ELISA, the antibody is reactive to tyrosine699 phosphorlylated humanSTAT5b peptide fragment conjugated with KLH or the peptide-BSA conjugate. The conjugates were coated to ELISA plate at 1μg/ml in pH 9.5 carbonate buffer.
Other applications have not been evaluated.

荧光剂(又称增白剂、光学增白剂、荧光增白剂),这里提供一个简单低成本的方法检测,可以使用365nm的紫外线小电筒照射(也可以是紫外线验钞机),如有发蓝紫色荧光(一般为蓝、紫,也有绿、红,和原来的颜色对比发生变化,明显鲜艳了很多并发亮,多照照几个其他物品对比就知道了),则是含有荧光剂。这种电筒在TB上有卖,搜索(荧光剂检测),不贵一般10-30多块钱左右,还是比较实用的,纺织物、塑料制品、护肤品、纸张等(有的食品有特殊的荧光反应除外,比如大米的脂肪会有荧光反应)含有荧光剂都能照射出来。以后就注意检测一下,特别是宝宝用的,或是贴身用品、护肤品。如果是三无产品确实有含荧光剂的风险。
在日常生活中,接触荧光剂的机会很多。只要不超过一定标准(上述方法只能检测出是否含有荧光剂,不能检查出是否超标),会给我们生活带来不少好处。如果过量的与它接触,会对人体造成伤害。
提示:紫外线在不照射荧光物质下,是看不到的(如果有少量白光那是灯珠发出的部分可见光,并不是紫外线),如果反光能看到,说明被照射物体发生了荧光反应。紫外线对人体有害,避免直射人体和长时间使用。
