TheQubit®3.0FluorometeristhenextgenerationofthepopularbenchtopfluorometerthataccuratelymeasuresDNA,RNA,andproteinusingthehighlysensitivefluorescence-basedQubit®quantitationassays.Thefluorescentdyesusedintheseassaysemitsignalsonlywhenboundtospecifictargetmolecules,evenatlowconcentrations,thusminimizingtheeffectsofcontaminants,includingdegradedDNAorRNA.TheintegrateddesignoftheinstrumentandassaysresultsinquantitationthatisfarmoresensitivethanUVabsorbance,makingthissystemessentialforquantitationofprecioussamples(samplesthatarerare,difficulttopurify,orexpensivetoeitherobtainorprepare)orsamplesfor“delicate”applications(samplesfordownstreamassaysthatareextremelysensitivetosampleconditions).

TheQubit®3.0FluorometerisfarmoresensitivethanUVabsorbance,whichmeasuresanythingabsorbingat260nm,includingDNA,RNA,protein,freenucleotides,orexcesssalts.Moreover,UVspectrophotometryisoftennotsensitiveenoughtoaccuratelymeasurelowconcentrationsofDNAandRNA.WiththeQubit®fluorometer,yourresearchisenhancedbymoreaccuratemeasurementsbecausethedyesintheQubit®assaykitsfluoresceonlywhenboundtotheselectedmolecule—DNA,RNA,orprotein—inyoursample.Thisallowsyoutoavoidrepeatingworkduetoinaccuratemeasurements.
