Xeno-free PDGFaa^HuXp is expressed in human 293 cells as a mixture of pro-dimers, pro-mature and mature dimers with an apparent molecular mass of 35 to 45 kDa. The cytokine is produced in a human cell expression system with serum free, chemically defined media.
