ShortDescription:InthisassaytheCRPpresentinserumsamplereactswiththeanti-CRPantibodieswhichhavebeenadsorbedtothesurfaceofpolystyrenemicrotitrewells.Aftertheremovalofunboundserumproteinsbywashing,anti-CRPantibodiesconjugatedwithhorserADIshperoxidase(HRP),areadded.Theseenzyme-labeledantibodiesformcomplexeswiththepreviouslyboundserumCRP.Followinganotherwashingstep,theenzymeboundtotheimmunosorbentisassayedbytheadditionofachromogenicsubstrate,3,3’,5,5’-tetramethylbenzidine(TMB).ThequantityofboundenzymevariesdirectlywiththeconcentrationofCRPinthesampletested;thus,theabsorbance,at450nm,isameasureoftheconcentrationofCRPinthetestsample.ThequantityofCRPinthetestsamplecanbeinterpolatedfromthestandardcurveconstructedfromthestandards,andcorrectedforserumdilution.AdditionalInformation:
